The Tenth Raku - Tannyu (1795-1854)
The Third son of the Sake maker Ogawa Naohachi, from a village, which is presently Chitosecho in Kameoka-city, Kyoto. Married into the family as the Tenth. Inherited the family headship in 1845. In a low-point for tea ceremony, after the Meiji Restoration, he contributed to the preservation of the family business by providing works to former daimyo noble families.
Our products are mostly secondhand goods. We sell them in the same condition in which they were purchased, so please be sure to wash them thoroughly before actually using them.

This is personal: I find this bowl to have a beautiful shape, a nice balance and a lovely sense of age. The one small default I consider wabi sabi: I don't mind. Description and photographs are apt. The item arrived well packed and save in about a week (from Japan to Europe). Thank you very much!
