This is an exquisite piece from the Chenghua imperial kiln of the Ming Dynasty. The imperial kilns of the Chenghua period are known for their precision and elegance, and the porcelain from this era is rare and highly esteemed. The bright blue and white design is vividly painted on the white porcelain, with floral motifs in the center and delicate plant patterns around the interior of the vessel, reflecting the advanced techniques and aesthetic sensibilities of the Chenghua period. The porcelain body is thinly crafted, and when exposed to strong light, the slightly yellowish clay, a distinctive feature of this period, becomes translucent.
