Crafted with a dark iron-rich glaze typical of Jian ware, the bowl features a natural leaf impression at the center, likely created by placing an actual leaf on the surface before firing. The combustion of the organic material during kiln-firing left a delicate, fossil-like imprint, with fine vein structures still visible beneath the glaze. The exterior is uniformly covered in a lustrous black glaze, while the foot remains unglazed, consistent with the production methods of the period. The bowl exhibits a balanced conical form and smooth curvature. The condition is very good, with no visible chips or cracks. Subtle signs of aging and kiln transformation are present, which attest to its historical origin.
