This dish is traditionally attributed to the Longquan kilns of the Song dynasty (960–1279) in China. It is covered in a soft bluish-green celadon glaze, characteristic of Longquan ware, and features a delicate foliate rim that enhances its elegant silhouette. The surface is finely crackled, a typical trait of celadon glazes from this kiln, lending the piece a natural and organic texture. The glaze application is even and lustrous, while the unglazed foot reveals the pale ceramic body beneath. The combination of the graceful shape, refined glaze, and meticulous craftsmanship reflects the aesthetic values and technical excellence of the Longquan kilns during the Song period.
