This set comprises a pair of bamboo lid rests (furo and ro types) crafted under the guidance of the 14th-generation Urasenke grand master, Sekisō Sōshitsu (Tantansai). In the realm of tea ceremony utensils, bamboo lid rests epitomize the wabi-sabi aesthetic. Particularly, those bearing Tantansai's personal seal (kaō) are esteemed treasures among tea enthusiasts.

The inclusion of both furo and ro types allows for seasonal and procedural versatility, enhancing the ambiance of the tea ceremony. Accompanied by a box from Chikusen, the set is well-preserved. Such an item not only embodies the rich history and tradition of the tea ceremony but also brings elegance and depth to the tea gathering.
