Born into an environment in which his father was Yamada Kenkichi, the intangible cultural property designated by Tokoname, Aichi, and his uncle was the 3rd generation Yamada Jozan, the national designated important intangible cultural asset (living national treasure). Pursued the life of a potter.
After graduating from university in 1976, started a kiln in Echizen Pottery Village and thrived, hosting his first tea bowl exhibition under the guidance of Kato Tokuro in 1980.
Started a cellar kiln in Germany in 1988 and produced works. Continues to thrive by holding private exhibitions from time to time in Japan.
Works are not limited to Tokoname ware, as they include Shino ware, Oribe ware, and Shigaraki ware.

However, if the item is clearly different from the product photos, we will cover the cost of return shipping. Any claims regarding authenticity or condition must be submitted within 30 days of delivery. Claims made after this period shall not be accepted. Returns or refund requests will not be accepted once the item has been transferred, resold, or otherwise passed on to a third party.

Please note that if your order falls on Japanese weekends or national holidays (e.g., Golden Week, New Year holidays), shipping may take longer as carriers are closed.
