Tahei Kiln:
In 1959, Okuiso Eiroku opened the "Tahei Kiln" in Kuguri Tahei, Kani Town, Kani District, Gifu Prefecture. This kiln was established with the intention of reviving the Tahei kilns that flourished from the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the Edo period.
The Tahei Kiln adheres to the traditional materials and firing methods of Mino ware. It consistently uses mogusa clay and wood-fired kilns, particularly focusing on creating tea bowls that allow one to directly feel the warmth of the matcha.

This tea bowl is a fine example of Shino ware crafted by Eiroku Okuiso at the Tahei Kiln, adorned with rich spots naturally altered by the intensity of the wood fire, embodying the essence of mogusa clay and the breath of the kiln within its form.
