Kaneshige Michiaki  (1934-1995)
Eldest son of Toyo. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art in 1955. Later studied under his father. Won the Kaneshige Toyo Award. Won the Japan Ceramic Society Award and other awards. Selected for the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition, Japanese Traditional Craft Art Exhibition, and other exhibitions. Served as a Board Member of the Issuikai Association and judge of the Chunichi International Exhibition of Ceramic Arts. Official member of the Japan Craft Art Association. Freely traverses between tea bowls and abstract works.
