This "Sosaku" (creative) kokeshi doll, standing 23cm tall, is modeled after a charming Japanese girl with a traditional "okappa" (bobbed) hairstyle. The rounded, substantial form features a sweet, hand-painted facial expression that captures the innocent beauty of a young girl.
The deep green body is decorated with bold red and purple blossoms and a delicate red ribbon, reminiscent of the patterns found on a traditional Japanese kimono. A hand-written artist's signature is visible on the back, emphasizing its handcrafted quality. This representation of a nostalgic Japanese girl makes it an ideal piece for international collectors or as a unique interior accent.
